American Cichlid Association

The American Cichlid Association (ACA) is a national cichlid club that promotes the keeping of cichlids, and stresses the awareness of cichlids in need of help that are going extinct. The club also has an annual convention, and a quarterly  publication, both of which are great.

Aquarium hobby C.A.R.E.S.

A Site and network where at risk species of fish are discussed, and conservation programs are ran by hobbyists.

Cichlid Research Homepage

Dr. Ron Coleman's site. Ron works at the Sacramento State University. One of Ron's major studies is the physical traits of cichlid eggs. Ron has created this site to help with his research. Got eggs, donate some to him for research, and help us learn more about our cichlids.

Wayne Quinn's site. Site contains a forum and for sale section.

Dave's Fish

Dave's Rare Aquarium fish is located in San Antonia, Texas, and Ran by Dave Schumacher. Dave has a wide variety of fish, but specializes in rift lake Africans. He also has some neat Madagascan and West African cichlids, along with New World cichlids, rainbows, and various catfish.

GCCA member Sue Ewald's site. On this site you can find a price list of fish for sale, and picture of cichlids, and other fish Sue has kept.

The Fishroom

GCCA member Radek Kowalski's site. Radek breeds African cichlids, and sells Dianichi and Spectrum food products.


Greater Chicago Cichlid Association

The Greater Chicago Cichlid Association is the club that I belong to. Check out the site to view the fish of the month, or see what is available on the classifieds. The site also features  an ask GCCA area, where your questions can be answered, and a calender of the clubs upcoming events.

Ted's Fishroom

Ted Judy's site. Ted specializes in keeping and breeding West African cichlids, but in all keeps a wide variety of fish from all over the world. His site features a stock list, fish pictures, fish logs, and fishroom visits. If you are looking for someone to speak to your club, Ted Judy has great talks on the genus Pelvicachromis, and their behavior, along with a few other interesting presentations.
