About the Author
My name is Sam Borstein. I'm 18 years old and currently maintain 10
fishtanks, the largest being a 110-gallon tank. I'm a member of
the Greater Chicago Cichlid Association
(GCCA), and have currently bred 87 species of Cichlids for our
BAP (Breeders Award Program). To learn about the cichlids I have experience with
and information on how to keep and breed them, look at the species
profile section. Not all the species I have bred are there yet, but
will be soon.
Awards and Articles Published
- I have had 3 articles published by the GCCA, and have written some of their "Fish of the Month" articles.
- I was published in ACA's Buntbarsche Bulletin December 2007, for my article on Neetroplus nematopus. I later received 2nd place for best hobbyist article written in the calender year.
- In December 2007, the GCCA awarded my with the honor of Aquarist of the Year.
